Dr. William Boothe is a skilled corneal surgeon with remarkable success and experience in performing LASIK eye procedures. His professional track record dates back several decades when he become one of the first surgeons in the United States to be trained to use excimer laser technologies when they were first approved for use in refractive eye procedures by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Since then, he has perfected the delicate technique while continuing to adapt the newest technological breakthroughs that offer the best possible results for his patients.

Dr. Boothe is one of the most experienced surgeons for both traditional LASIK and INTRALASIK procedures. LASIK and INTRALASIK surgeries are essentially the same, except that with INTRALASIK, an excimer laser is used for the entire procedure, including the creation of the initial corneal flap. To date, Dr. Boothe has successfully performed more than 121,000 LASIK and 83,000 INTRALASIK operations. A Texas native, Dr. Boothe earned his undergraduate degree at Rice University and attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After completing his residency at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Dr. Boothe specialized in refractive eye surgery as a fellow at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California. By 1987, he opened the doors of his clinic, the Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center, which has since become a premier vision center in Plano, Texas (north of Dallas). He has performed laser surgery at his practice since the 1990s after it was commercialized in the United States.
