Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center Sponsors Tom Landry Classic

Dr. William Boothe takes pride in supporting his community’s philanthropic efforts, which is why he and the team at Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center are a proud Classic Corporate Partner of the 10th annual Tom Landry Classic. The Tom Landry Classic is one of the top high school football competitions  in the United States. In 2009, four of the top ten-ranked high school football teams played at the Southern Methodist University’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium, including the Southlake Carroll Dragons, the Plano West Wolves, the Red Oak Hawks and the Highland Park Scots, with the Southlake Carroll Dragons winning the competition.

Boothe Eye Care and several sponsors awarded three scholarships to members of the Southlake Carroll Dragons football organization. Players, managers, trainers, band members, cheerleaders and field performers were all eligible. Emily Giffin, Will Johnson and Scott Lopano were the winners of the scholarship for their demonstrated excellence in community service, leadership, integrity and academics. Dr. Boothe said giving scholarships to outstanding Dallas youth is one of the highlights of his year.

William Boothe, MD, has participated in the Tom Landry Class for years, a sports competition that receives more than 22,500 people in attendance. The competition is in its tenth year and has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to outstanding students who wish to attend college.
